"Welcome to our solar system! All proportions of size of planets and distance to the sun have been respected in this world" Then why is the moon so close to the earth? And with Earth that size, does the creator have any idea how vast the distance between the planets are? How laggy is that world given the Sun, 8 planets, 5 dwarf planets, asteroid belt, Kuiper belt, Oort cloud, and the 150-ish moons? Or is the solar system missing a bunch of things?

Lol jk but how did the textures become so precise?

I doubt they have Kuiper, and certainly not oort, jut too far away.  But it's jut a bunch of spheres, shouldn't be too high poly, at least not more than your average terrain.

I was going to ask the same thing... Lol.  I found Hawaii!!! lol..
So realistic that Sven was watching and I was flying around earth and he was like "I see NORWAY!!!! SMASH IT WITH THE JET!!!" and we kept flying around.  Very cool!  (I tried to show my pic of finding Hawaii *Columbus!!!* but it didn't work :()

So you post this, yet you won't share the game with the community or say who made it? First of all, what's wrong with saying the name of the creator and sharing a link? You're not distributing anything doing so.

Yes Mad I am the creator of this world, and I explained to you just why you can't see the sun or any of the other planets... Read my pms a second time...

Anyway like I told you this is not a permanent world, it was a test by me to see if it could go right if I respected all the proportions of the objects in our solar system. As you can see, it does'nt.
No one really realises how minuscule the earth is compared to our sun, or to one of the gas giants in the solar system, and how massive the distances are. I just made this world to prove that if proportions were respected, a solar system map would never work.

Since this was just a test, I'm taking it off my dropbox soon but if you want the link here it is.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/41103673/Solar%20System/Whirld.utw

This link will of course soon no longer work since it's getting taken off my dropbox account, and since I should'nt really be making this world anyway since it was Mad's idea in the first place to make a solar system world.

But if I get his permission to make a proper solar system world, I will, and I will give you all the link it.

If you want to try out any other worlds made by me they are on my list of recommended custom worlds.
They are:
-Lost islands
-Crate stacks
-Rocket launch
-Super racetrack
-World of mysteries

IF YOU GO IN A StRAIGHT DIRECTION FROM THE MOON (Earth, moon, fly) for 10 minutes, you will find venus, mercury, and the sun. So....yeah this world is epic. I wish I could share the URL with you.

I watched Cal, and he couldn't find other planets, well as long as I was watching.
1 week - 32,767v
Posted 2011/10/08 - 19:04 GMT
Yeah guys that's absolutely normal that you missed all those... This was never supposed to be an actual final world, I just made it as a test to see how things would turn out if I respected all the proportions of size in accordance to distance... As you can see the majority of the whole world is empty space, and you can't even see the sun because even though it's so large, it's too far away and you'd only see it if it were emitting light.
The good news is that world is no longer available I've taken it off my dropbox... Wait that's not good news... Yes it is because I've made a new Solar System world where things are not so far away (this just means the size in accordance to distance proportions are not respected.) It's much better and it's epic for dogfights.
The link is the same it's http://dl.dropbox.com/u/41103673/Solar%20System/Whirld.utw
:)

I found the sun, and Mercury, and the Moon, but I just didn't find Venus.
BTW, Epic texture for Earth. HOW did you do it?
And distance proportions being respected is good...
Did the old one have Mars?
And could you have a link for the old one too, but a different link?

So I can't export anymore
I like it like this anyway... And everyone who I played this world with yesterday absolutely loved it so I think this is a sucessful world! :D

I support Eric's gravitiational pull idea -
My issues:
- Is grossly inproportionate.
- I don't seem to be able to land on Saturn's Rings...?

It's very cool world though; love to see some inventive stuff added in.

This is a brilliant world in that is extremely disorienting in a cool and surreal way. It changes earth and other planets into a massively different perspective and just throws my brain into a fun state of hoo hah.

Exporting in Unity 2 is just the same as in Unity 3.

You can't use Whirld 5 for Unity 2 you need Whirld 3
You need to select assets>whirld>whirldexport>bundle
And tada!

You need Unity pro to do this, I used the 30 day pro trial

Also before you export you need to delete all the scripts located in the standard assets>scripts folder as these are the same as the scripts in Whirld 3, and if you don't delete them, you won't be able to find the whirld icon when you click on "assets"
