Hey Mars people!
I was just doodling, and I came up with this!
I was thinking the block with the x would be the start/orb place, and the left/right siides if you would please keep on going as long as the top/bottom please :D
I was thinking this would be a map for a good block world creator could make, like etah or someone :D

It doesn't look exactly like Eric's CTF. I mean he was just doodling. It might have just been coincidence. This doesn't automatically mean that Smek thought *I know! I will steel Eric's idea and make it look like I have come up with it myself!*. Even so he might have just got the basic idea from Eric's world.
And Smek, if I am ALOUD to make this world for you, I will try :)

Okay, this is rediculous
So what if he stole? Is there any need to scold him for it? Leave him alone, it's not necissarry to complain about it. Stealing is stealing, welcome to the inception of windows, google chrome, android, facebook (although only purportedly...) all cars we drive today, many of the advancements we attribute to Edison, or Einstein... Stealing typically leads to improvements anyways. Just look at Achilles' Unity embedder, for an example. It's better to just leave people alone about it, instead of picking a fight over it, no? (and yes, I know, I myself have had issues with this, those were past times. It used to piss me off when people stole my designs, but I'm beyond that now)
I doubt he stole anyway... This looks like CTF, Fai's embassy, even Aubrey's block castle, whatever it was called. Why? Because they all follow double-mirror symmetry, and utilize simple block patterns combined to form complex shapes. of COURSE there are goign to be similarities, they all stem from the same thing. They are not all stealing form each other though
Bottom line is, if someone does something wrong to you, and it isn't a major disturbance to peace, leave them alone, because typically your intervention causes more stress than the action ever did in the first place. You may ask, why, then, am I correcting YOU? Well A: I have held off from correction on countless occasions where I saw it futile, and B: I'm a moderator, and it's my job to try and keep SOME sort of peace around here. Bickering over who stole what is not peaceful, nor is it productive.

Smek: I absolutely love this design :) I would love to play in it as a world, but I'm afraid some of the patterns in it confuse me, I'm not sure I can make anything that will do honor to the pattern

Ya, I can picture it in my mind kind of but I am still not quite sure that what I imagine it to look like from the side (Parallel to the y axis) is the same as you... Do you think that you could copy the pic and lable it eg: Tall tower, wall, small hut/base etc... or I could copy the image and tell you what I imagine it to look like and you could see if that is okay or if I should change anything. This is amusing that I do the project because I am sure that there are lots of people out there that would like to make it too.

part of the beauty, is that he height is up for interpretation. Generally, though, I think the darker it is, the taller it is, or conversely, deeper. Either one sounds pretty cool to me :) The areas where all the shading is the same I believe consist mainly of ramps and detail bits made only to raise or lower in tiny portions

Okay, I am really sorry about my little outburst back there. I just got a little upset because it seems that pretty much every single post/comment I make, it's a copy. If it truly does look a lot like Eric's CTF, I can honestly tell you I haven't noticed the way it was shaped ever. I've barely even played on it! :P
I took a lot of time from my math class and study hall (mostly) to make this design.
And @ etah: You have my permission :P
Also @ etah: It might be a little hard to make considering the fact that some of the lines I drew were diagnal. I was also thinking that the very middle block would be the highest point. :D

If you've played it, the overall design could be embedded in your subconscious, which means you unintentionally copied. (Lol)
Also, why did you have to take from your math class? That's all the interesting stuff!
Oh yeah! Try using Sketchup and making it, or if it is a terrain world, try Unity.

Looks quite interesting, but I can'y really get a good idea of the height in that picture. Could you perhaps draw a second "side-view" picture of it so we can see what the relief would be like?
