Given that there is no ranking system for Mars Explorer, and that the first two attempts at a succesful tournament were...limited, I propose a new one, much more open, relying more on no set time.

 

How this would work is all players who are interested submit their names to me on this post. After, go out there and dogfight with any other member (one-on-one) of this tournament, and report the final score to me. I will calculate the best dogfighters (those who are winning) and post them. It would be a never ending round robin, similar to the way the stunt runners operated. I would required you submitted one dogfight every week, for keeping up interest. Recording your screen is not necessarily, I will simply trust this forum to be responsible individuals. However, I will require collaborating PMs from BOTH participants.

 

All this is speculative, but, if you like the idea, join. I know I will participate.

 

Consider this an interest generator to the art of dog fighting in a buggy.

 

*First to 17 *Round Robin ends on the 2nd of July

*One on one dogfighting.

*No shooting while the other player brbs or when the DF is paused

*The DF may be pause only when both sides do NOT have an advantage in position

*Gyride IS allowed

* Any world

*Hypercam is allowed

*Points must be reset before commecing

*Players may pull out to a different server if too much lag exists, without losing.

*REGULAR SETTINGS, NO AJUSTMENTS

*Use the points meter for your buggy, do not attempt to count points manualy.

*Report scores to me as soon as practicaly possible

*There shall be only bragging rights, gold stars, and a couple URLs (for instance, my worlds....Achilles's pool table perhaps.) as rewards.

 

I am open to improvements/suggestions to this list.
