Before this terrible age we live in, cussing was considered a thing people would never do unless they were uncivilized barbarians who didn't know better.
Today, we face this in the gameplay of Mars Explorer. I don't want to read these messages with cussing everytime I play. I want to enjoy my gameplay. I'm sorry, Ecto, put you're promoting this unacceptable behavior. I'm not gonna "chillax". I want it GONE!!
If you guys want me to calm down, I'm not offering that as a possibility. I'll LEAVE if I have to.
Why do we have to resort to such stupid standards?!
I know you people might not care about this, and I'm sad I might be the only one who actually does.
But I'm going to stand up for safe gameplay!!!

Face it, people are going to use innapropriate language everywhere you go. ESPECIALLY in highschool. Now I am not saying that it is ok, because some things are not appropriate, however I am not going to tell them to stop. Some things you just have to take with grace and not let it bother you. You have to learn that you cannot control people, but try and influence them in a way to where they see good through you

I, for one, agree with you Charles. Cussing really should stop, because it's unprofessional. However, there is no way to stop it unless you muzzle people, because not every-one that plays the game goes on this forum, or even agrees with you. So, I would be proactive about not cussing, don't encourage it, definitely don't do it (we've all heard the story about the 5th grader who cussed in class, who got chewed out by the teacher, only to walk into the classroom and hear her cussing over the phone during breaktime. Or maybe we all haven't, either way, it's true), and when all else fails, hide your chat box or host a new server. I think you should start hosting language free games, where if foul language is used, they are banned. Feel free to use Das Boot. It's your server, and people play by your rules when they use your server. Just my opinion :D

I agree with Charles as well. I am a representative for my school in real life, and my job is to teach people to not do things like that because it is unprofessional, uncalled for, and only makes things worse. Its a form of bullying. Its an attention grabber and what it means is, they say it because they know its wrong, but say it because someone is going to look and say something about it.
Its all for the attention. All you can do is ignore it. If it turns to be a threat, you need to report it. Simple as that. I know its not fun or easy, but the more you ignore it, the better and easier your job gets. I do feel something should be done, but there isn't much to do with that.
Sorry I couldn't give too much good news for you, but its the best I can do. I have to know the forms in order to enforce and make new actions. Hope you understand.

I agree completely with Charles. The swearing, cursing, cussing, whatever you call it, it needs to STOP!!! And closing the chat-box doesn't cut it!!! Suck it up, swearing needs to stop. And this whole 'anti-cussing' movement will sweep ALL OF MARS before it stops! MAN UP ALL, YE CUSSERS!!! And to Charles; Boom to you, my friend.

Cussing is a funny word period. If you feel the need to tell a fellow player to stop cussing then you might think more about your motivation and what you action is actually implying. Words are words.... and what you call "cuss words" have a place..... if you give them meaning then you own that....not the person who says the actually word. If you are offended then say I am ofended by your choice of words..... but telling someone or"teaching" some one to "not cuss" is assuming you share the same beliefs. I persoanlly find that action to be extremily rude. But that is me.....if you feel you have a right to tell someone to believe "your beliefs" and to actualy imply that the "cusser" should ne ashamed.....well.... in my opinion you need to self reflect before you feel like acting all high and mighty!
I think most people in a free world would find it offensive to have others actually tell them what to do and have others push there personal morals on them.....
Anyway just some random thoughts of mine. Do you non cussers also burn books?

If by burn books you mean, read them until you've memorized almost every single word, then yes, some of us do. But if you mean, throw them into the fire, BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE SACRELGIOUS, then no, I don't think people do that anymore.

Terrible age? I think we live in a great age but still has a few downers. I mean songs have no soul in it except for a few. School is treated like crap to others but not a lot. We have medicine that treated loads of illnesses that probably would killed us if it weren't for this "terrible" age. Cussing showed ony be used by people who know how to use it and knows how to make it in to a joke.
My grandfather cussed like there was no tomorrow and he was a great man. Cussing shows nothing, its just an annoyance to other people who cant learn to ignore it and get passed it. You only care about it because it annoys you and only you. And your mad about that.
Cussing maybe frowned apon but its no lower standard (unless its those people that throw the f bombs more than farts go through fat people).

Yesterday I was in ecto's game, and it kept getting out of control, MAD was cussing cussing cussing. Ecto evicted us all to control it, and that happened like 3 or 4 times.

I've met kids playing this game as young as 6...
Should a Six year old be hearing swear words? No
Should a Seven year old be hearing swear words? No
Should a 8-11 year old be hearing swear words? No
Should a 12-15 year ol be using swear words? No
This is a kids game. Not a place to use every swear in the book.

While it's true excessive profanities are annoying, sometimes the only word that will fit is one. This usually isn't the case, but just keep that in mind.

people who cuss give ME the immpression that they are low people who cant even think of a word to replace the space.
it makes people looks like stupid angry people who just rage all the time. seriously. its the internet. calm down and please dont cuss. this is a CHILD-FRIENDLY place. yes, kids cuss all the time, but if the people they come to respect cuss, they will. just dont do it.
