Servers, servers, everywhere, but not one game to play

Ok. This has been brought up before, I think. But I feel the need to bring it back up again.

It's 11:50, roughly, at GMT. The US is generally asleep. And yet there are hundreds of servers.
I've worked my way through all the servers with > 1 players, bar tichead's. Several of them have been up for multiple days now. Not one had an active host. And I only met four active players.

Isn't there some way to get rid of hosts that haven't touched their keyboard in 48 hours? It kinda irritates me. At this time in the Uk, there are rarely more than four or five people online. Searching 28 servers for them takes longer than I have to be online.

If there's no way to remove them, I'd ask for it as a feature in v3 - just to dump them after a given time, say 24 hours, if there had been no activity from the host.
All o' dem bad servers
Thanks for reading this.

Now the servers are listed by how recent they were (after size, of course) but none of the servers shown here have any activity whatsoever.

Yes, this has been brought up many times before, but this is a very good post. Maybe flynn could implement a feature where if a server has been up for more than a few hours and the host hasn't touched it, it would be automatically deactivated? Also, most of the servers that have crashed and stuck on the server list (very annoying) were already up for a very long time before they crashed. Something to think about?
