Terrium's undergoing a full rewrite to wipe out the last few bugs. It runs on all Intel macs.
Elite:Dangerous is my new hideaway. It's Windows only at the moment but the Mac beta is due in a few months.
Dota 2 is great fun with friends if you're up for a steep learning curve. I have 260 hours in this game and that puts me barely above noob level, but it's a blast.
Guns of Icarus is a fantastic Unity-made game, but again best played with friends.
Team Fortress 2 aka Hat Simulator 2012 is a good suggestion if you're into FPS games.
Kerbal Space Program is FANTASTIC. Teaches you more physics than you ever thought you'd know whilst being hilarious and challenging. It runs on Macs and has a vast array of great mods.
In general most games don't run on Macs, mostly because Macintosh hardware is usually too weak to run modern games well, or prohibitively expensive. Not that I don't understand that Macs are beautiful, elegant pieces of kit; it's just that they aren't built for gaming.
That said there are plenty of overpriced and underpowered computers on the Windows side of the fence too.

I really like the game Tanki Online. If you play it and like the game you should definitely tell me so I can friend you. The game is free and doesn't require any downloads. It may be a little slow on your computer, but I don't know.
