Wow that's cool.
Interesting that he would leave his own game, or why he would make this small game in the first place.

The disappearance of Aubrey is the most mysterious and unbelievable ever! I am always wondering WHY Aubrey did this. It makes abolsutely no sense. And I am still wondering.

Why would he just suddenly abandon all of the ATI network and releated projects, without saying anything? And he visits every once in a while. Sometimes he replies to something and does some moderating, as if nothing happened. It would make more sense if he disappeared and NEVER visited the site, but he DOES visit the site but doesn't say ANYTHING, and what is going on, etc. I just don't understand it!!! Meanwhile people have been, and still are, running around with their heads off wondering what happened to him, but he doesn't say why he is that way, he just visits as if nothing happened... he could at the very LEAST write a little message saying why he is the way he is, why he doesn't do anything here anymore. He seems to just not care anymore. But why? I don't understand it. Do you? Any ideas?

He just lives his life as if ATI never existed. :/ Which is sad because ATI is (or at least was) amazing and had great potential. I wonder what he's developing now.

Didn't he just get a real job and no longer has time for side projects like Mars?

I don't know what the big mystery is.

I'm sure he has time to write a few words to saying what is going on at least.

This is the one and only post where he said something about something related to ATI and all this:

Dec 29, 2012:

...I just may have time for weekend Syn3h development.

Was he active around December 2012? I'm not sure but I think he was inactive, but he visited, updated his site, and replied to some questions (including mine on the very first post ever) somewhere around 2012.

Holy crap! AubreyFalconer.com has been remade... it's no longer powered and participated in the ATI network! It's completely separate now. :o
Oh hey... new info too. He talks about Mars Explorer and Syn3h. Haven't seen that before! Huh i have to read it.

My story, to date...

Started building webapps at the age of 15, and a fledgling internet empire began to emerge over the next several years. Destinations included 10k+ registered user forums, self-service blogging and webhosting platforms, a full-featured classifieds portal (Safarri), and an ambitious global knowledgebase (Plexpedia). All were powered by a custom-developed PHP framework with ahead-of-it's time features like automatic css / js asset bundling and a browser-window-aware multidomain db-backed session persistence system.

Fell in love with Unity at the age of 18, and refocused on the world of realtime 3D. This culminated in self-publishing Mars Explorer, a multiplayer vehicular combat / adventure simulator for desktop and mobile platforms. Early distinctions included a month as the most popular OS X game dashboard widget in the world, and Special Recognition in the 2008 Unity awards. Thanks to it's viscerally satisfying vehicle physics and integrated map design toolset, a vibrant community developed around the game. Several friends I made through this project are now pursuing their own careers in 3D modeling / industrial design.

Currently spending my days (and the occasional weekend) at Kochava engineering large-scale data processing and analysis tools. We're a recognized leader in the mobile advertising industry, and growing exponentially.

I occasionally contribute code towards Syn3h - the realization of Mars Explorer's underlying vision. Picture yourself sculpting an intricate virtual world using easy-to-understand tools, then jumping inside it from the cockpit of a futuristic buggy to play laser tag with your friends.

So he does work on Syn3h!! He just has a job but he works on Syn3h sometimes. :D Now it makes sense! He has dropped Mars Explorer because it is old and Syn3h is new, and he doesn't update anything because he is busy, but he occasionally adds code to Syn3h. But shouldn't he release a beta 3 by now? He has not added screenshots to the Sym3h Picasa album and he has not added notes to the development notebook, nor has he posted any news or anything new to the site. Hmm... :/ Maybe he wants to surprise us?

It would be nice though if he devited some attention to his legacy game Mars Explorer, because it still is a good game, and as Syn3h is not coming out anytime soon, he really should maintain Mars Explorer for tie time being. You know, minor updates and bug fixes. ATI has serious security flaws and it is extremely dangerous. Mars Explorer has some too. They just need some patches and it would be good to go for a long time. Most importantly the game needs to be updated to Unity 3 at least, then it would be supported on the newest hardware.
