Feel free to add more poetry to it!

Fellow Mars Explorers,

I started writing a few poems a while ago. The ones that are Mars related, if only in the fact that they were inspired by something I heard on Mars, are here. Feel free to add your own.

Sincerely,

Picard

Not Responding

The words beneath the names, speak volumes by themselves.

No longer are they here, not present on this plane.

Their spirits have gone elsewhere, leaving naught but empty shells.

Drifting quietly 'cross the stage, will we they return again?

Eternal Noel

Christmas is here today, as it was the other day

Ornaments adorn the shelves, eerily grinning little elves

A wreath sheds needles oe'r the door, while wrapping paper obscures the floor

The chimney blackened from years of use, the stockings bare from moth's abuse

Not once a year is Christmas here, but every day of every year

Not special is it anymore, simply a repeat of the day before

Today is Chrismas again, they say. Oh how I wish it'd go away.

Many Meanings

The quarry has no stones, but is green like a gem.

The lasers certainly aren't, but lasers we call them.

The tank has no cover, but can cover you with fire.

The buggy no antennae has, but flies to the tallest spire.

The hyper sound is often calm, even lazy in it's play.

Too many meanings have these words, but none apply today.

Cheating

I'm under the map, you can't get me, and Rorbs are on, so I can see

Where you are and where to shoot, and best of all, you can't boot

Me, because I'm the host here! I control whether you stay in the air!

Wait, you're leaving? That's Cheating! No fair!

Up the Wall

I've gone and driven myself up the wall

I don't think I'll come down again at all

Now I can race across the ceiling,

Undeterred, oh, how appealing!

Now let's try to roll: Xorbs now on!

Oh no! I'm falling! That's no fun!

Note: This is written for everyone, not just one individual.

Lasers

Many green, many red,
All aiming at the person in green,
most missing their target,
but every now and then,
a buggy falls out of the sky
