Very good, just one thing: The island's edges are too square, make the edges more of a natural shape.

Ok, I am still trying to figure out the water, I haven't really had that much time to work on it as of late, and I probably won't be able to for a little while.  But I will see what I can do.  Thanks for the info!

Unfortunately every time I try to add water to it, my computer crashes.  I won't be able to add water unless someone else does it, I do it on a different computer, or I get a new computer, which all of those things are very unlikely.

It should be in standard assets, under water. If you just drag it into the Heirarchy, it should be there.

I can start adding water, but while I am adding water, my computer crashes.  So I will not be able to add water to this world my self.

may i also add is when making the terrain on your map, try to keep the edge around the out side of it flat for easy joining!!

All right Seb, I'll do that when I get the chance, I accidentally misplaced my flashdrive with Unity on it.  Also, I am going to Florida in a couple of days so I won't be able to work on it.

I finally found my Flash Drive, and unfortunately I could not find a way to make the floating islands round, and I also took some more pictures of the map.
The area where the Buggy will start from...X(0)Y(0)Z(0)The diagonal view of the first created islandThe top view of the first created islandDiagonal view of the second created islandThe top view of the second created islandDiagonal view of the final islandTop view of the final islandA picture of all of the Islands
Sorry about the amount of pictures, but I hope you guys can give me some more suggestions!

I HAVE A SUGGESTION!!!!! Make a mesh circle around it. aka, use a mesh to make the outsides look round. Then, put them at different elevations! :)

Do you happen to know how to apply a texture to a mesh in Unity? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated :)

Apple, I'm pretty sure you select the game object (plane usually) and under the Inspector window, there should be a button that you can click on to select a texture.

Yeah, but my meshes always kill the texture, giving it a single bland color with no detail...

Yea, that's what happens with me, too.  I don't know how to make them multi-colored, but if you find a way, please let me know!

App, that may be due to poor rendering settings, zoom in on the mesh and you might see it better.

app, this may be the fact that the texture is so unbelievably tiny that you cannot see it.
 
Make the tiling much larger, like 70x70 instead of 1x1, then you may see the texture begin to show as you increase the size.

Make sure that the edges of the islands are flat at 0 alt, or there will be empty spaces in the map, like on atlantis in certain parts.

The Islands are meant to be above 0 alt because they are Floating, and also, all of the blank area is not terrain, and at 0 alt is just a giant plane, so I am not able to add grass to that.  At one point I may just get rid of the plane and the pillars and make a terrain at 0 alt, probably will once I get the chance.  Thanks for the suggestions!

I updated the world, I made it so the large plane is now terrain, and there are ramps connecting the main island to the other islands.

Add some bigger mountains or create some interesting textures.
 
Also, you could try importing some sketchup models.
 
Or, create some game designed for your world.

I did a little work on the World.  I added a Volcano, which is located where the little camera image is.  And, as you can see, I added a bit of an ocean.  I am thinking of adding another Island, but the current setup could be ideal for the possible Capture the Flag program (referring to another post).  Please do continue giving me suggestions!

Ok, GTR, I don't exactly know how to do that with Unity, but I think I can make a component using Google Sketchup!  No...Wait, never mind.  Think you can tell me how to do that?  I have no clue at all.
