the ancient world awaits and some not so ancient

Hey people of mars. I've been thinking up new idea(s) for a world and i want your opinion on it.

They are all (or were all sopposed to be) based on ancient civilizations. (mostly)

NOTE ANYONE CAN DO THESE IF THEY WANT TO!!

Here's the idea(s)...:

Greek: equip with the -

Parthenon -Greek temple were they worshiped Athena-, this would be good to weave in and out of the poles holding up the roof. i forgot what they're called.(turns out they're called columns.)
a place :) -were the Olympic games were held-, this would benefit for a place for people to show off stunts or just race.
a small island near the bottom of the map (also known as the island Crete), for players to swim to it
Labyrinth -a maze on the island with traps and hidden items. kind of like a big treasure hunt. with a minotaur in it.

Arcade: (yes, they had arcades in the ancient world.)

Pinball machine -hoprefilly, if i create this right, this will be the "spawning point." with a pinball top layout, when you fall, you will be brought into a room filled with pipes you need to slide down, ome of them will be rigged. After the pipes is a maze that, when you finish, leads you outside of the pinball machine.
skiball machine -not sure exactly how it works so im just guessing at this. the ramp where the ball goes into the hoops and a small passage way that leads you back out to the place where you pick the balls up.
Dart board-self explanitory! You can either shoot at it or charge into it depending on how big i make it.

Base:

A mountain area with a large rectangle cut into a mountain.
Actual base -Has tanks, bombs, ect. Kind of like a military base hidden from view. A gun rack hanging from the wall.

Not bad.. If there is an island, put a maze of the minotaur inside it. And a few easter eggs :P

By the way, the colosseum is in rome.

Interesting ideas, creature.

Yoshi, it actually has been thought of/attempted in the past. I know Seb was making an ancient temple (that looked like the Parthenon) a while back, and I'm sure Fai has this in his Sketchup collection. Geek377 also was working on ancient Roman buildins as well a few months ago. Keep in mind that the stuff posted to the forum (for me anyways) only represents about 20% of the creations being worked on/completed.

Oh, and Yoshi, she didn't mean the Colosseum. Yes, the Colosseum is in Rome, but the Olympics were in Athens. She's talking about the stadium in Athens, again, not the Colosseum.

Creature has edited this post several times. The first time Creature put something up there, creature said that the colosseum was in greece. Yes, there is an arena where they put the olympics, but the Colosseum creature was talking about is in Rome.

I know I shouldn't reply to something as dumb as this, but an easter egg on Mars (and in many other places in video games and media) is a funny sorta secret that the person who made it added in as a joke. Hmmm.... I have a Greek temple in my props folder if you want it. but I'm not making the statue of Athena! I really like the Crete Island idea. You could build the palace of Knossos. Imagine dogfighting inside the palace with beautiful water and tough terrain... *continues imagining*

Oh with the palace, the Labyrinth could be assembled nearby, resembling history.

thats a good idea, but im not at that stage of creating worlds yet. thatll take alot and im still not a master at it yet, :P ill keep that in mind though and maybe add it.

Okay, Cre, this sounds pretty freaking awesome, lol

Good idea with the whole Parthenon idea and especially Crete and the Olympics place... (if you were doing Rome, do the Colesseum, that would be AWESOME...) Something else that would be awesome would be: a shipping area where you could go into in-animate boats... :) Good idea again.

That doesn't apply to worlds Yoshi. That is just about the actual game experience, not the worlds. A military base could actually be a pretty cool world, but complicated worlds like that are hard to make.

Guys, regarding the whole bombs and weapons issue, as GUb mentioned, it does not apply to worlds. You could make a world of pretty much anything or any subject matter. Now wether the worlds will accepted or denied in the repository (in game implementation) is probably governed by the rules. But a military base doesn't make the game violent. A military base with exploding bombs targeted at moving objects does ;)

It all depends on how you make it look. A candy military base with exploding marshmallows and moving lollipops isn't really very violent.

Please don't make that world, I'm already doing it. -___-

cool ideas may i suggest something though? i think you should make a world like a room in a house with huge tables and chairs a tv (looking thingy) or maybe the battle of theopoly like a hill with 2 soldier standing thngys

But it's a post on CREATURE'S world ideas, not Creature saying, "hey, post your random world ideas here".

It would make more sense if he was saying an idea that was related to Creature's post...

and ive ben wondering havnt u made worlds and also heres a good idea for a world witch is a military bunker or something from marvel stidios like from the ner movie winter soldire and yes i do know it hasnt come out yet but soon
